With a special strength in bottom trawls, Bergiš Fishing Gear offers a wide range of trawls and related products, services and solutions.
Our customers are mainly Faroese fishing vessels including deep sea trawlers, but we are serving a growing number of foreign customers as well, from neighboring countries and even from as far as Portugal.
As a bottom trawl specialist based in Hvalba, close to Tvöroyri, on the southernmost Faroe island of Sušuroy, the advantage of our central location in the middle of the North Atlantic works to the benefit of our customers. Nonetheless, we are looking to extend our market reach.
Some of our core values are embedded in the name Bergiš, which literally means 'the seacliff' -- a powerful concept in Faroese, often used to allude to trust, stability or strength, and often identified with local Hvalba culture. This is well in line with the fact that good craftsmanship has paramount importance in our vision of product quality. |
